Obituary of Martha Rogers Barker

Martha Rogers Barker, age 71 passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend Loyd Rogers Sr., their son Michael Wayne Rogers, her sister Patricia Snoddy, and brother Bobby Baucom. Martha is survived by her son Loyd (Kim) Rogers, Jr.; her daughter Missy Childress; her five grandchildren Loyd Rogers III, Morgan Hay, Justin Rogers, Hailey Childress, Kendall Rogers; her two sisters Mary Jane Baucom and Yevette Jessen; multiple nieces and nephews. Martha was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend. She was co-owner/operator of One Stop Auto Sales with her husband Loyd. She retired from Wal-Mart SuperCenter where she worked with her sister Pat and many friends. She loved fishing, puzzles, paint by number, fantasy football, computer games, and baseball. Martha loved life and had so much fun with her family and friends. She coached her son's baseball team to a championship and she attended all her grandkids sporting events when she was able to. Her grandkids describe her as funny, loving, feisty, amazing, beautiful, sweet, crazy, fighter, honest, strong and doesn't give up. She was all this and so much more. We thank God for her and for us being a family. She will be greatly missed everyday. We love you More! Visitation will be Saturday September 26, 2020 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Thyatira Cemetery.
