James Riley “Dink” Umphrey Jr., age 55 LaPorte, IN native, born on January 24, 1965 passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2020. An Army Veteran who settled in Middle TN for 30 plus years and proudly worked with Bridgestone and FedEx.
Greeting him on the other side: his beloved father James Riley Umphrey Sr., step-father, Robert Nell, and his grandparents.
Loving him earth-side: daughter Stephanie Umphrey and adopted children: Madison, Taylor, Aubrey, and Daniel aka Bubbie. Mother, Sharon Nell, siblings, Michael Umphrey, Lisa (John) Cox, and Shawn Donahoe. Life long best friend, Teresa Henley Umphrey, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Visitation to begin at 5pm to 7pm with services to follow with Jimmy Fuller officiating.
At a later date there will be a service at Haverstock Funeral Home in LaPorte, In with interment at Pine Lake Cemetery.
