Obituary of Virginia Vaden Blair
Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mrs. Virginia Blair went to be with our Savior on September 13th, her daughter; Sandra was at her bedside. Virginia was the beloved wife of Tommie Blair for 68 years, before he went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2015. Virginia was the mother of Ronnie (Joanne), Beverly, Sandra, and Sheila (Terry). Mom will be extremely missed for her nurturing and caring spirit that she displayed daily to her family and husband who she loved with a passion. She was always available to help her family-day or night-without hesitation; her love for all of us was overflowing, much like Christ’s love that Virginia well-exemplified.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Vaden and Ruth (Turner) Vaden: Sisters Ellen (Joe) Tatum, Velma (Douglas) Wakefield: Son-in-law, Ken Neighbors; and dearly loved grandson, Jason Keith Goodman. Survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a soft spoken, kind, and patient woman who knew Jesus Christ and was full of love for her family. She worked side by side with her husband, Tommie, to provide for and comfort her family through canning home-grown vegetables and fruits, making home-cooked meals, sewing clothing, laughing with grandchildren and teaching life lessons to her children.
The legacy, memories, and recipes of Virginia (Memow) Blair will forever be a source of light to her family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 17th, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:00 P.M. with Interment following at Center Hill Cemetery in Cannon County.
