Obituary of Deborah Jean Curtis

Deborah Jean Curtis, age 63, of Baxter, Tennessee, passed away September 11, 2020, after an extended illness. Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Wilmoth and two brothers, Tommy Wilmoth and James Wilmoth. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee on June 4, 1957, Mrs. Curtis made her home in Baxter, Tennessee, with her devoted husband of over 40 years, Tommy Curtis. There, they raised their two children; delighted in their time spent with their grandchildren and recently welcomed a new great-grandchild. Mrs. Curtis was a retired seamstress from Red Kap Industries, as well as a homemaker. She was passionate about her family and had an affinity for gardening and working outdoors. She was a member of Double Springs Community Church in Cookeville. Though quiet and soft-spoken, she loved to laugh and had a sly sense of humor. She is survived by her mother, Iva Dee Hicks; husband, Tommy Lynn Curtis; two children Kevin (Dustin) Curtis and April (Marty) Reagan; aunt, Judy (Frank) Rodgers; grandson, Mason (Taylor) Sidwell; great-grandson, Jameson Reese Sidwell; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the Double Springs Community Church in Cookeville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will follow visitation at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Frank Rodgers officiating. Interment will be in the Double Springs Cemetery.
