Susie Kay Eades, age 94, lifelong resident of the Mona Community, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Eades retired from MTMC after many years working Pediatrics. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis L. Eades; parents, Sam and Ada Leahew; children, Betty Eads Sanders and Joseph L. Eads; grandchildren, Kenneth Duke and JoAnn Eades Lancaster; twin sister, Mae Henderson-Swan; other siblings, Mattie McCrary, Nora Barrett, Adaline Thompson, Rosa Lee Helton and Sam O. Leahew. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Jerry) Donham of Murfreesboro, William B. (Judy) Eades of Sale Creek, TN, Olene Langford of Lynchburg, TN and Emma (James) Duke of Murfreesboro; twelve grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Taylor of Lavergne, TN. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 30, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Ron Johnson officiating and Dr. Jordan Asher and Dr. Donnie Headrick speaking. Burial to follow at Eads Family Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
