Harold E. "Hal" Guldin Jr, 63, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at Veterans Hospital in Nashville from a long battle with brain cancer. Hal was born in Coatesville, PA to the late Harold E.(Bub) Guldin Sr and Elaine C. Guldin who survives. After serving in the US Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam, Hal earned a degree in Accounting from Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA. He worked as a Cost Accountant until he moved his family to Murfreesboro, TN in 1981 to start his own company, TurnKey Business Systems. Later he started two additional companies, Perfect Business Forms and Business Information Systems and Services. After many successful years in business, he sold all three companies to enjoy semi retirement. During this time he worked in real estate, insurance and business consulting. He most recently was the Senior VP of sales for the Rehab Documentation Company. Hal was very active in his childrens lives coaching Little League Baseball and Jr Pro Basketball at Christiana Elementary School and Barfield Elementary School where he also is past President of the Booster Club 1998. He attended World Outreach Church, member of VFW and American Legion Post 0016. His hobbies were drawing, painting, playing guitar, playing cards, swimming and pool basketball. Hal was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. (Bub) Guldin Sr; grandparents, Aaron M. and Jeannette Guldin, William Schlater and Gertrude Hohn Schlater. His is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cynthia G. Guldin; children, Kevin M. (Candice) Guldin, Joshua M. Guldin, Dustin A. (Jennifer) Guldin and Niki M. Guldin and fiance Ben Williams; grandchildren, Bryan, Brandon and Gracyn; mother, Elaine C. Guldin; sister, Cheri L. (Thomas) Leisey; brother, Lance (Mary) Guldin; several nieces, nephews and cousins and family friend, Ann Carter. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 23, 2012 from 11:00 amd until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Bush officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to World Outreach Church.
