Obituary of Linda Joyce Anderson

Linda Joyce Anderson went to be with her Lord Monday the 8th due to complications from acute leukemia. Joyce was born in Dallas Texas to parents Jacob and Vera (Minor) McClenny.
She was the administrative assistant to the City of Murfreesboro Planning Department, from where she retired after 32 years. She is survived by her father, Lt Col Jacob McClenny, sons Rick Adams (Barbara), Bill Dunn (Lisa), and Micheal (Beth), grandchildren Tiffany Sarrell, Brittany Phillips, Nicole Anderson, Gavin Dunn, Chase Gaskill, four great-grandchildren and sister, Wanda McClenny Harrison.
Joyce was a member of Smyrna First United Methodist Church, and was very active with the Smyrna Senior Activity Center,taking part in many trips. She had an innate capacity for seeing when someone was in need, and found a way to help however she could.
Nicknamed "Queen of the birds" , her feathered friends found her wherever she went. Her love of travel, whimsical spirit, and endless passion for life took her all over the world, where she never met a stranger.
Visitation will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 12pm – 2 pm with service to follow in the chapel at 2pm. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Joe Elliott officiating.
