I have only known Mr. Parnell and your family for a year or so, but I have always looked forward to being greeted by him with that great smile and hand shake on the Sundays he attended Crescent. For Pam, I am saddened to learn of your father's death. He was a man of great faith, and although I did not know him well, the eulogy he gave at your grandmother's funeral has stuck with me and I have drawn inspiration from it for countless funerals that I have preached over the years. I was blessed to see him a few years ago at Crescent when my dad preached there one Sunday evening. Please convey my sympathy to your sister, brother, and especially to your mother. May the grace of God, the love of Jesus, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you and comfort you.

Aunt Vangie, Bonnie, Pam, Jeff, and all: I am so sorry for the loss of Uncle R.D. He will be missed by so many, especially all of you, his family. You have been so attentive to his care in these last weeks especially. The church has lost a great servant. Love and prayers to you. Carolyn
