James David Lowe, age 77, of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, August 07, 2007 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Born in Cannon County he was a longtime resident of Murfreesboro. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and retired from Alvin C. York Veterans Medical Center. Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Nancy Jane King Lowe; brothers, William, Thomas, Woodrow and Luke; sisters, Virginia, Goldie, Naomi and Sarah. Mr. Lowe is survived by his wife Merle Lowe of Murfreesboro; daughters, Kathryn (Donnie) Freeze of Manchester, Joy Lowe of Dallas, TX, Jan (Rick) Girard of Anchorage, Alaska; sons, Jim (Brenda) Lowe and Tim (Robin) Lowe both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amy (Dave) Clark, Amanda (Dustin) Murray, Rebecca Girard, Matthew Lowe, Justin Lowe, Amber Potts and Blake Potts; great grandchildren, Ethan, Abby, Beau, Riley, Andrew and Haley; sisters, Willie Jane Campbell of Kentucky and Pauline VanHook, TN; sisters in law, Jewell Murphy; niece, Julia Ann (Walt) Spence; niece, Elizabeth (Aaron) Price; nephew, Sutton Spence; nephew, Tommy Murphy. Graveside services for Mr. Lowe will be Friday, August 10, 2007 at 10:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery with military honors. Chaplain Bob Bush will officiate The family wish to sincerely thank Dr. Bryan Lewis and Caris Hospice for all of their support and help. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
