Mary M. “Penny” Dicks, age 83, born June 21, 1936 in Brunswick, GA, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019.

 

Preceded in death by husband Reid E. Dicks, Jr., daughter Stephanie Weeks, mother Macie Davis and grandmother Mrs. Charles Strickland.

 

Survived by daughters Pamela (Robert) Wiser and Felicia (Mitch) Gallagher: grandchildren Erin Weeks, Carl Rowland “Trey” Weeks III, Laura Wiser, and Emily (Erick) Hyde; great-grandchild Levi Wiser Chance.

 

Penny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. During her husband’s career in the U.S. Air Force she volunteered endless hours with Family Services, helping finding homes for military families. She was a Ceramic Artist, who enjoyed teaching her art to many students.

 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 6:00pm with Jon Amspaugh officiating. Interment will be 10:00am Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
