Obituary of William Duncan Pewitt

William Duncan Pewitt, age 80 year, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019.

Survived by wife Geraldine Potts Pewitt; son William Anthony Pewitt; daughter Lisa (Gerry) Kermick; grandchildren Tabitha Pewitt Taylor, Miranda Pewitt, Ellen Kermick, Meagan Kermick, and Matthew Kermick; great grandchildren Jonathan Taylor, Joshua Taylor, and Roselynn Kermick; sister Ruth “Tootsie” Griggs.

Mr. Pewitt graduated from Fairview High School in 1959. Served in the US Army,

attended Fall’s Business College and graduated from Tennessee Technology School with a degree in Refrigeration and air conditioning. He retired from Alvin C. York VA Medical Center after 20 years service.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday. October 15, 2019 at Murfreesboro Funeral home from 12:00-2:00 pm with the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Brother Darryl Lewis officiating. Interment to follow at Roselawn with Military Honors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
