Susan Hughes, age 78, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mrs. Hughes was a native of Fairmouth, West Virginia. She was a member of the Protestant faith and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Helen Herbst. She is survived by her husband, Allen W. Hughes of Murfreesboro; children, Jim (Colette) Hughes of Augusta, GA, Stephen (Candace) Hughes of Apache Junction, AR, Donald (Wendy) Shannon of Delaware, OH, Tom (Jennifer) Shannon of Murfreesboro and Mary Sparks of Reynoldsburg, OH; ten grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Dick (Pat) Herbst of Ft. Collins, CO.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 01, 2012 from 12:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Bush officiating
