Wanda Jo Rapp, 56, of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Smyrna, TN. She was born August 23, 1962 to Marvin “Buddy” Upchurch and Ruby Upchurch.

Wanda was a strong, compassionate and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She gave everything of herself to everyone she knew. She was an incredible cook, and always looked forward to making someone’s day with their favorite dish. She never failed to light up a room with her smile or make anyone feel better with a hug. She was a dedicated Bama fan. Her house was never quiet during football season. She was a Bingo admin on Facebook, where she impacted so many people just through her presence there. She was selfless and her family and friends were everything to her as she was to them.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruby Upchurch and Marvin “Buddy” Upchurch, her brother Johnny Upchurch, and her husband of 29 years, Gary Rapp.

Wanda was survived by her children, Kelly Erwin, Kathy Rapp and Jonathan Rapp, her son in law Chris Erwin, daughter in law Ashley Rapp, her granddaughter Ava Erwin, and many other cherished family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 5-7pm, and a funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
