Obituary of Carleen Phillips

Carleen Phillips, age 65, of Murfreesboro, passed away at Baptist Hospital Saturday, August 04, 2007. She was a native of Philadelphia, PA born to Beryl Uhlman and the late Andrew Uhlman. Carleen was a true blessing to those whose lives she touched. She loved spending time with her family. Over the years her home served as a refuge for many who needed a sheltering wing under which to rest. Her ear was always open to listen, her shoulder a strong rock to lean on and her loving arms were open to embrace and comfort those in distress. A devoted member of Third Baptist Church, her church family and faith were her foundation.
Carleen is survived by her husband, Earl E. Phillips of Murfreesboro; son, Randy R. (Rachel) Wilcox of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Samantha and Skylar Wilcox; mother, Beryl Uhlman of Coudersport, PA; sisters, Marea Jones of Cinnaminson, NJ, Bernice Lewis of West Milton, PA, Andrea Searcy of Nashville, TN and Cheryl Bailey of Coudersport, PA; step daughter, Jamie (William) Moyles; step granddaughters, Alyssa and Laura Moyles; brother in law, A. James Phillips; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, August 07, 2007 beginning at 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 08, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Third Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Lee and Dr. F. Murray Mathis officiating. Burial will be at the Raymond Corners Cemetery in Allegany Township, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made to The Hope Center, PO Box 12331, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
