John "K4KNO" Leone, age 65, of Readyville, passed away Saturday, August 04, 2007 at his home. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Anthony John Leone Sr and Mary Vrutneski Leone. John was retired TSGT from the United States Air Force, retired industrial electrician at Johnson Controls and a member of the Victory Christian Center in Murfreesboro. At the age of 13 years he began operating as a Ham Radio Operator. Known as "K4KNO", this was his great interest and love. He was a member of the Nine One Repeater Club in Murfreesboro and was recognized by the ARRL for working 100 countries as a Ham Radio Operator. John is survived by his wife, Kathy Leone of Readyville; stepsons, Alex Wilson of Readyville and Joey Wilson of Smyrna; stepdaughter, Becky Wilson of Manchester; son, Anthony Leone III of Murfreesboro; daughter, Jackie Heath of Woodbury; 10 grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 06, 2007 beginning at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
