Ray Powers, 92, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday August 03, 2007 at Middle TN Medical Center. Mr. Powers is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Jackson, MS. He retired as a foreman of 42 years from Knox Glass located in Flowood, MS.
Mr. Powers was preceded in death by his parents, RW and Sophie Dixon Powers. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ruby Powers of Murfreesboro; daughters, Janet McNaughton of Murfreesboro, Teresa (Joe) Johnson of Allen, TX; son, Mark (Marsha) Powers of Murfreesboro; brother, Ed Powers of Braxton, MS; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 07, 2007 from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm at the Lakewood South Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson, MS. Burial to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park South.
