George Edgar Blythe age 83 of Murfreesboro, passed away Sunday June 17, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Henry Jones Blythe. He is also preceded in death by his wife; Minnie Blythe, daughter; Kimberley Michelle Blythe, his brother; Alan Blythe and four sisters; Nadine Brown, JoAnn Brown, Ethel Baird and Ruby Jones.

Mr. Blythe is survived by his son; Jason Blythe of Murfreesboro, granddaughters; Amber (Kassidy) Spence of Woodbury, Ashley (William) Kuprion of Murfreesboro and two great-grandsons; Gage Kuprion and Karson Holt.

Mr. Blythe was a member of Third Baptist Church and was retired from General Electric.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Brother Roy Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Online guestbook is available at www.murfreesborofuneralhome.com
