Obituary of Asa Edward Gilbert
Asa Edward Gilbert Sr, age 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dee and Ethel Owens Gilbert, daughter: Judy Fleming, grandson Michael Steelman, brother: Paul Gilbert, and sister: Alpha Holmes.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Gilbert, daughters: Trissie (John) Jones, Darlene White, sons: Asa (Jessica) Gilbert Jr, Lonnie Henderson, Charles Cross, brother: Willie Gilbert, sisters: Joan Pennington, Kathleen Sutherland, Wanda Stapleton, Darlene Parker, Janie Gilbert, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 3-8 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2pm at Light Cemetery, 398 Light Cemetery Road in Kingsport, TN. 37664. Murfreesboro Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gilbert Family.
