Obituary of Robert Charles Graeff
Robert Charles Graeff passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born on November 15, 1937, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Mortimer Graeff and Evelyn Gackenbach Graeff.
He lived in Allentown, Pennsylvania as a child and later moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School. He received his B.S. Degree from Millersville State University, Pennsylvania, his M.S. Degree from Temple University, an Educational Specialist Degree and a Ph.D Degree from the University of South Florida.
He had been a math teacher in Pennsylvania and in Florida, had been a Curriculum Consultant for the county schools and later Principal of Morgan Fitzgerald Middle School in Pinellas County, Florida, and served as a Personnel Director for Secondary and Vocational Education for Pinellas County School District, Florida.
He also taught education courses at Nova University in Florida and at Middle Tennessee State University.
He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps and held a variety of elected positions in a number of educational associations. He was also a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary.
He was ordained as a deacon and as an elder in the Presbyterian Church and had served in churches in Florida and Tennessee. He was a long time member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Clearwater, Florida and in recent years had been an active member of First Presbyterian Church Murfreesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Lois P. Graeff, and his daughter, Sally Ann Graeff, Madison, Alabama and by his son, Timothy Robert Graeff (Myfanwy), Nolensville, TN. and two granddaughters, Kathryn Myfanwy and Jori Elizabeth of Nolensville, TN. in addition to several cousins.
In his memory, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
A private burial will be held for family members.
