Faye and I were best of friends growing up. She and I were the only girls in our family of boys, so we had a lot of things in common. We were Tom Boys enjoying racing down the dirt road by her house, playing ball and shooting marbles, to mention a few. I could always count on her to save me a seat on the bus and get my homework assignments when I was sick. I was also envious of her little blue glasses. I thought they were cool. I wish we could have had more years to grow up together, as I moved in 1967. I loved her family. She is pictured here in 1962 at a Halloween party. She is on the left and I am in the center. Many happy memories!
