Obituary of Shirley Smotherman Finney

Shirley Joan Smotherman Finney age age 76 of Murfreesboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior August 14, 2017. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Edna Baird Smotherman.

Mrs. Finney is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joe Finney, her daughter Kelli Finney of Murfreesboro, two brothers; Donnie Smotherman and his wife Diane of Murfreesboro, Lloyd Smotherman and his wife Karen of Franklin and nieces; Sheri Arnette and her husband Paul of Christiana and Shonda Vaughn of Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Finney was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and a graduate of Christiana High School. Visitation will be 4:00PM until 7:00PM Thursday at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10:00AM Friday at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. F. Murray Mathis and Brother Lee Douglas officiating.
