Dudley Michael Comer Jr. born on June 11, 1929 of Murfreesboro, peacefully and surrounded by his family, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2017.
Visitation at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Saturday, March 11th from 11:00 to 1:30. Graveside service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Alan Cooper of Bellwood Church of Christ officiating
Dudley is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Comer; parents, Dudley Comer Sr. and Nora Lannom Comer; and eight siblings. He was one of the original founders and builders of Bellwood Church of Christ where he was a member for many years. He was a co-owner of Comer Brothers Construction (one of the first paving companies in Rutherford County), and later retired to a life of farming.
Dudley is survived by his daughters: Dona Stelle of Murfreesboro, TN and Tina Head of The Villages, FL; six grandchildren: Kellie Dumas of Hendersonville, TN, Suzanne Kis of Temecula, CA, Melissa Wright of Lithia, FL, Shannon Martin of Murfreesboro, TN, Brian Clark, Murfreesboro, TN, and Seth Kovaskitz of Navarre, FL; twelve great-grandchildren and two siblings: Albert Comer and Doris Lowe.
