Roy James Fugate, Jr., age 82, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
Preceded in death by his wife Jane Fugate, parents Roy James and Emma Hicks Fugate, sister Louise Fugate.
Survived by sisters Katherine Connor, Idella Davidson both Harriman, TN and Christine (Larry) Colloms of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews, his Murfreesboro family, Virginia Swann, Cindy (James) Larsen, Tim (Suzanne) Swann, Bobby (Jennifer) Farley, Jessica (Ashley) King, Andy Swann, Chris Swann and all of the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Dept.
Mr. Fugate retired after 20 years from the U.S. Navy, and then worked for the Murfreesboro Fire Department. He was a member of Big Emery Baptist Church in Harriman, TN.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with the funeral service at 2:00 pm.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Eastern Time Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Glen Alice Cemetery in Rockwood, TN.
