Dr. Hicks-Caskey was a professor of mine for several classes at ETSU in the 80's. He encouraged me to continue with my studies to become a Special Education Teacher. He was a very kind and caring man who loved to share his life experiences with his classes. He had a true passion for the area of Special Education. I think of him often and remember him with kind thoughts.As I reflect on my education and 25 years of teaching, I realize how influential he was to my career.
