Obituary of Edward Sylvester Naughton

Edward Sylvester Naughton “Pa”, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
Mr. Naughton was born in New York and lived the majority of life in Miami, Florida until approximately 24 years ago when he moved to Nashville, Tennessee with his wife to live close to his children. He served in the Air Force, after leaving the Air Force he worked as an aircraft mechanic and later owned his own appliance repair business.
A gentle, caring and loving man that enjoyed spending his time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loyal dog, Daisy. Pa was a kid at heart and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies, playing Super Mario and watching baseball, especially the San Francisco Giants.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Elders Naughton; grandson, Matthew Floyd Naughton; Daughter-in-law, Judy Boyenga; brothers, Donald, Michael, Vincent, James, Richard and Jack; sisters, Rita, Alice, Patricia and Mary.
He is survived by, son, Floyd Naughton; daughter, April Naughton Scott (husband Thomas), grandchildren, Brandy Sullivan, Katlin Naughton, Nicholas Naughton, Jesse Scott, Dylan Scott and Chelsea Scott; great granddaughters, Madelynn, Allie and Christine.

Family and friends will meet at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, 2016 and will be leaving in procession at 2:30 going to the graveside memorial service at Rocky Glade Cemetery in Eagleville.
There will be no visitation at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
