Obituary of Eloise M. Taylor

TAYLOR, Eloise M. – Age 89 years, passed from this life on Sunday, September 18th, 2016. She was a remarkable woman. She graduated from St. Thomas Nursing School in 1949. She served 10 years as a Volunteer RN for the Red Cross Blood/Mobile, served as County Health Nurse, and later served as a Cub Scout Den mother along with raising 4 children. In 1975 when her late husband Robert L. Taylor was diagnosed with Lupus Erythematosus, Eloise dedicated even more of her time and her home in Knoxville, TN to spreading the awareness of the Disease which eventually established the Mid-South Chapter. She then served on the steering committee to form the national organization now known as the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. She is proceeded in Death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Taylor: Children, Marsha Hodges of Amarillo, TX, Mitch Taylor of Hayward, CA, Mike Taylor of The Colony, TX, and Kitty Malone of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandchildren, Josh, Ben, Candace, Jennifer, Mathew, Jessica, Christopher, Brandi, Bill, Samantha, Victoria, and Caleb; 8 Great Grandchildren, and 1 on the way. The graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11 am at the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4-8pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home 145 Innsbrooke Blvd. Murfreesboro, Tn.
