Margaret Gertrude Young age 99 passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Preceded in death by her parents Lee and Minnie Thomas Manus, husband Jesse J. Young, sisters Goldie Young, and Mary Manus, brothers Ocha, Lemuel and Floyd Manus.
Survived by sons Jesse Lee “Sonny” (Ruby), Charles (Peggy), Horace (Martha), Dorris (Karen), Robert (Marilyn) and Paul (Brenda) Young, 13 Grandchildren, 28 Great-grandchildren and 13 Great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Special friends Jean Harris, Ardie Lee Mullins and Marie Brewer.
Mrs. Young was a long time member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, retired from Ruby’s Dress Shop as a Seamstress and loved making quilts for her family.
Visitation with the family will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 8:00 pm.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Shaw and Rev. Ken Elkins officiating. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
