Darwin E. Spinks, 91, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, June 06, 2016 at Adams Place.
He was born in Little Rock, AR to the late Marion and Ruth Spinks. Prior to moving to Murfreesboro, he retired from the U.S. Printing office in Washington, D.C. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy in WW II and Korean War and a 32nd Degree Mason, Daylight Lodge, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Spinks is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Spinks, son, Jimmy Spinks and grandson, Jesse Spinks. He is survived by wife Dorothy Spinks, son, Tom Spinks of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Michael (Katie) and Danny Spinks; great grandchildren, Maggie, Jack, and Gracie Spinks; daughter in law, Mary Spinks of Wurtsboro, NY. And several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 12:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Polk officiating.
