Bettye Jean Dodson age 73 of Smyrna passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
Bettye was the daughter of James Howard and Kathleen Eugenia Harris Yates. She was a book keeper and a member of the Methodist Church.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by Cathay L. (Mike) Fluty of Rockvale, TN, Sheri D. Luke of Salt Springs, FL and Rhonda J. Longaberger of Smyrna. Nine grandchildren, Heather Fluty, Jason Fluty, Michael Fluty, Mary Catharine Fluty, Jennifer Luke, Amber Luke, Chris Luke, Danny Longaberger and Josh Longaberger, 14 great grandchildren also survive.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
