Carol D. Shelton, age 89 years, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Preceded in death by husband Dr. Ben Allen Shelton, parents William and Mildred Duda. Survived by sons Ben A. (Mimi) Shelton III, Steve (Holly) Shelton and Will(Jenny) Shelton; grandchildren Paul (Mandy) Shelton, Kayli (Brad) Simmerson, Amy (Ben) Umbel, William (Jenna) Shelton and Thomas Shelton; 7 great-grandchildren. Carol was a woman of deep faith who served the Lord in many ways including prison ministry, meals on wheels programs, 12 step programs, adult and children Bible teacher, visiting shut-ins, nursing homes and many other avenues of service to her Lord. Carol worked side by side with her husband Dr. Ben Allen Shelton as a Registered Nurse, while raising three boys. She loved hiking, swimming, storytelling, reading, and loved living on their farm and raising her garden and her family. Her biggest joys were Bible study and loving on her family. Visitation will be held 10:00am until 12:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2024 at North Boulevard Church of Christ, 1112 N Rutherford Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37130, with the memorial service at 12:00pm with John Magnuson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made North Blvd. Church of Christ, Greenhouse Ministries, or Beesley Animal Foundation.
