Lorrie Barrett Straughn, 37, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away September 5, 2016. A lifelong resident of Murfreesboro, she was born January 3rd, 1979. Lorrie was a loving mother, wife, and dear friend to many and will be missed by all those whose lives were changed by her laughter, warmth, and nurturing spirit. She is survived by her husband Jared Straughn, also of Murfreesboro, her infant daughter Ivie Brooke Straughn, and her step-daughter Ellie Kate Straughn. She is also survived by her parents, Pam and Tommy Barrett, her sisters, Holly (Dan) Danburg and Brooke (Clay) McClain, nieces and nephews Layla Danburg, Dwight Danburg, and Noah McClain. Visitation will be held at 4-8 pm at Mufreesboro Funeral Home on Friday September 9th. The ceremony will be Saturday September 10th at 11 am at Lighthouse Baptist Church. There will be a visitation before the ceremony Saturday at the church for anyone who cannot make it Friday night starting 10 am that morning. Burial service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
