Charles William Lamb, age 86, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, August 15, 2016 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Lamb was born on November 24, 1929 to the late Fred and Inez Lamb in Rutherford County. He was a lifetime farmer with a love for horses and family. Mr. Lamb was longtime member and Elder of Crescent Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Inez Lamb; brother Roy Lee Lamb; and sister Christine Bowman. Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife, Jo Lamb; sons Barry (Marcia) Lamb of Rockvale, Steve (Karen) of Murfreesboro, Michael (Kelli) of Rockvale; brothers, Howard Lamb of Mt. Juliet and Earl Lamb of Murfreesboro; sister Frances Connor of Murfreesboro; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 4pm – 8 pm and again on Thursday, August 18, 2016 an hour before funeral services at 11:30 am with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 1 pm. Grandsons will be pall bearers. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Crescent Church of Christ Building Fund or to Stones River Manor Benevolence fund. Murfreesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
