Margie Ruth Robinson, age 81, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Robinson worked in the dry cleaning business and was Church of Christ faith. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Roy Smotherman and Myrtle Lee Bryant Smotherman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Sherman Robinson; son, Sherman R. Robinson; brothers, William, Sam, Tommy Smotherman; sisters, Mattie B. Robinson and Marie Wilson. She is survived by children, Elaine Evans (Ron) of Smyrna, Barbara McMahan (Larry) of Murfreesboro, Diane Morton of Murfreesboro, Susan Harris (Mike) of Murfreesboro, Terry Robinson (Debbie) of Bradyville, Barry Robinson (Shari) of Lewisburg, Beverly Edwards (Craig Carpenter) of Rockvale; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; eighteen great-great grandchildren, and beloved buddy and pet Dakota. Visitation is Monday, June 6, 2016 from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial following at Robinson Ridge Cemetery in Cannon County. Bro. Terry Davenport and Roy Robinson officiating. Murfreesboro Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
