Tony was born on January 21, 1963, in Clarksville, Tennessee, and was raised by his beloved parents, Dean and Carl Anderson. In 1975, Tony and his family moved to Smyrna, Tennessee, where he grew up, worked, and eventually met the love of his life.

On November 14, 1986, Tony married his amazing wife, Jackie, a beginning what would turn out to be the best decision of his life. Together, they built a life that many admired and, more importantly, a true friendship and partnership that will last beyond this lifetime. Their love for one another was evident to everyone who knew them.

Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His boyish spirit always shined through, especially at family gatherings and events with friends, where he kept everyone laughing with his humor and infectious personality.

In addition to his love for Jackie, his family, friends, and his beloved pup, Lightning, Tony had a passion for riding his motorcycle, going to the beach, and taking the boat out with anyone who wanted to join him. And, of course, everyone knew exactly where Tony and Jackie would be on Race Day!

Tony never complained about life or work. He was grateful for the life he lived and for the many amazing people he had the privilege of working alongside over the years. He truly knew how to live life to the fullest and was happiest when he was with his family.

Tony was preceded in death by his father Carl Anderson and his mother Dean Anderson of Manchester/Rock Island, his Father-n-law Jack Gipson and his mother-n-law Betty Gipson Woodbury, son-n-law Skipper Commander. His brothers Jerry Anderson of Christiana, Tennessee and Keith Anderson, his sister-in-law, Linda Sue Anderson of Manchester, Tennessee.

He is survived by his beautiful wife Jackie Anderson, his children Randy (Lisa) Gipson and Tasha Commander, grandchildren: Devon (Amy) Davenport, MaKayla and Jesse Taylor, Joseph Gipson. great-grandchildren: Aburee, Luke and Bentley Davenport. His sister and 6 brothers: Pat Papka of Slocomb, AL, Ray Manire of Hopkinsville, KY, Niles Anderson (Beverly) of Dawson Spring, KY, Rick Anderson (Linda) of Manchester, Jim Anderson (Libby) of Dickson, TN, Randy Anderson (Dottie) of Murfreesboro, TN, and Matthew Anderson (Kathy) of Rockvale, TN. Brother & Sister-n-laws: Regina Myers, Teresa (Danny) Kennedy, Jackie Jr (Tammy) Gipson. His Honorary brothers Wade Morrow and Alfred Hernandez, Micheal Hollingshead & his family, plus so many of his friends at Smyrna Ready Mix.

He is lovingly remembered by 38 nieces and nephews: Balinda (George), Josh, Carla, Harley, Al, Jennifer, Misty, Michael, Jason, Tika (Jason), Jessica, Carletta, Pam (Jimmy), Jim Jr. (Heather), Randy Jr., Heather (Michael), John (Autumn), Shane (Lindsey), Kristina (Stanton), Kayla, Jacob (Jess), Kacey, and Shelby (Tori) Shannon, Tika, Ashley, Kayla, Amber, Megan, Jay, Cheyeene, Michael, Mark, Melissa, Trey, and Ashley; 81 great-nieces and nephews; and 26 great great-nieces and nephews.

Tony will be remembered for his infectious smile, wild curly hair, contagious laughter, kindness, and playful spirit. He had a special way of making everyone feel like they were his #1, always knowing there was a place for you in his home, his thoughts, and forever in his heart. His nieces and nephews knew that whenever they called Uncle Tony, he would be there to comfort, support, and listen when no one else understood. His love for those around him touched so many lives, and his memory will live on through Jackie, his family, his friends, and all those who were lucky enough to know him. Tony was deeply loved, and he will be forever missed.

Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 9:00am - 12:00pm with the service to follow at 12:0pm in the chapel. Pastor Tim McElroy will be officiating.
