Shelia Kay Hart was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, on Jan 17, 1953 to Leo and Nina Caudle.

She passed away unexpectedly at home on July 27, 2026. She attended Dyersburg High School and then studied Criminal Justice at Dyersburg Community College.

She worked for the American Red Cross in Murfreesboro. She then went on to work at the Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro as an administrative assistant until retirement.

Kay enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful flowers and roses. She loved watching Hallmark Christmas movies. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her backyard. But, her favorite thing was spending time with her daughter Nadara, who she absolutely treasured.

She is survived by her daughter Nadara, ex-husband Jerry and his wife Linda. She is also survived by a large extended family, many friends, and her best friend from High School Vickie Thedford of Dyersburg, Tennessee. She shared a special bond with her cousin Arthur (Otty) Fisher of Missouri.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, three brothers and two sisters, former son-in-law Randall Spencer and grandbaby Kendall Kaden Spencer.

Pallbearers will be: Vincent Hill, Malik Davis, Greg Hall, Jerry Hart, Billy Parker, and John Garrett.

Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 10:00am - 1:00pm with the service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Miller's Cemetery Cemetery in Christiana, TN. Pastor Bob Bush will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
