With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Gale Robbins, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, on July 13, 2026. Born on June 23, 1941, in Norwood, Ohio, Gale was the son of the late James and Isabelle Robbins. He was a man of great humor, boundless love, and an enduring passion for life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

Gale's journey through life was characterized by his dedication to family, community, and the things he loved. After graduating from Bell County High School in 1961, where he excelled in both football and track and field, Gale's athletic prowess was recognized with his induction into the Bell County Hall of Fame Class of 2024-25. These achievements were a testament to his commitment and determination, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life.

In the fall of 1987, Gale married the love of his life, Sandi. Their 24-year marriage was a partnership filled with love, laughter, and adventure until Sandi's passing in 2011.

A dedicated owner-operator truck driver for over 30 years, Gale was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his career. He was a devoted member of the New Beginnings Church at Rockvale and found spiritual fulfillment when he was baptized at Blackmont Baptist Church on December 27, 2007. Gale was also a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge in Ohio.

Gale's life was filled with simple pleasures that brought him immense joy. Whether he was spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cheering on Kentucky UK sports, or losing himself in the world of old Westerns on TV, Gale found happiness in the everyday moments.

He is predeceased by his wife, Sandi Robbins; his stepdaughter, Erica Shores; and his parents, James and Isabelle Robbins.

Gale leaves behind a loving family who will dearly miss him: his son Michael Robbins and daughter-in-law Katy Robbins; his grandsons, Jordan Robbins and wife Ashley Robbins, and Taylor Robbins and wife Lara Robbins; his granddaughter Rachel Shores; his sisters Brenda Sue Shelly and Wanda Louise Harrison; as well as 5 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and the mother to his son, Janis Robbins.

In honoring Gale's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his name to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his giving spirit and the love he had for his community.

Gale's legacy of humor, love, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. Though he has left this world, he will forever be celebrated and remembered with love and gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on August 14, 2026, from 3pm – 5pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 5pm.
