Betty Womble was born on December 7, 1935 in Robertson County TN to Russell and Lucy Blick Rice. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Nashville, TN on May 16, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lucy Rice, her husband, Bobby Womble, a daughter, Pamela Lynn, her beloved Uncle Robert and step great-grandson Greyson Tucker Shasteen.

She is survived by her son Robert Hensley (Lee Ann), step daughter Pam Shasteen (Richard), step grandson Jackson Shasteen (Taylor) and step great-grandson Jettson Shasteen.

A visitation/memorial for loved ones and friends will be held at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home at 145 Innsbrook Blvd in Murfreesboro, TN on Saturday, May 23rd from 4:00PM – 7:00PM.

A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Springfield, TN located at 1029 Richard Street on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 11:00am.
