James Reeves Pike Obituary

Visitation for James Reeves Pike, who died Wednesday, February 4 at home, will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home, Monday, February 9th from 10 AM – 12 PM followed by graveside services at 1 PM at Whitworth Cemetery.


He was born to Steve and Mertie Yealock Pike on May 18, 1931, in the cotton fields at Valhermoso Springs, Alabama. Drafted into the Army at an early age he served in the 7th Infantry Division in combat during the Korean War, he was self employed most of his working life in the automotive repair business.


He is preceded in death by a daughter Karen Pike. Survivors are his wife, Christine Pike; daughter, Rhonda Rainey; son, Brian Pike; grandchildren, Michelle, Gavin, Kristin, Amber, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Corey, Sarah, and Logan;one great-greatgrandchild, Luka; and a sister, Lou Erwin.


Pallbearers will be Gavin Rainey, Tyler Rainey, Logan Banks, Tim Schultz, Corey Schultz, and Daniel Banks.
