Vicky was very near and dear to me and my girls heart. She had a Heart like no other and was super smart and I did learn a lot from her. We will definitely miss her being silly with the girls and dancing and just having a good time. And I will miss her potato salad that I almost had her convinced to send to me all the way to TX. There is a lot I will miss she was definitely gone way too soon!

Family reunion, Vickey decides to make a cake.. while I cooked my dishes for it , Vickey starts the cake. Midnight she's decorating the cake. It turned out huge. Her design was three or four layers. With some cut out for a water fall . It turned beautiful. Family didn't want to cut into it . Vickey told everybody after all the time I put into this cake, y'all better eat it. It was delicious...Thank you for that memory Vickey. We laughed so hard that night. Really a great time... Will miss you..

When I was pregnant with my last child in 1989 Vicky came to the hospital to visit with me and I was in the hospital bc of premature labor and I had heart burn so bad and the nurse would not give me anything for it at the time so Vicky left the hospital and went to the drug store and bought me some medication for heart burn! It was such a relief! We would bring this conversations up sometimes and just laugh about it! She definitely took care of me that day! That’s the kind of caring and compassionate person Vicky was. RIP my dear friend ! Save me a seat I will see you in the other side one day.

I will miss her on this earth. She could make things happen. She loved her family and wanted things to be perfect for them. She was smart as a whip. I knew if I could not make it happen She would. She gave me the cutest flamingo salt and pepper shakers because she saw them and thought of me. Back in 1962 the Maupin home place in Eagleville welcomed a bunch of babies within weeks of each other. Sadly, that bundle of cousin babies is getting smaller. Get some rest for now sweet, sassy lady. We will see you soon.
