I remember Joe from classes at Crichlow Elementary through Central High. He liked to laugh and got along well with everyone. He was a good football player and racked up a lot of points for our high school.
I will pray for Joe's family to have peace and comfort in having many loving memories.

Joe and Shirley would visit us often when I was a kid. My parents Bo and Dot Mcpeak would often sit in the yard and enjoy each other’s company. I have very fond memories of all of them laughing about life events, it was always a happy time. My mom and I would visit Ms Fannie Mae and sit often and one time we were there sister had fallen in the floor, mom said Beverly can you help sister up and I did. They both responded well if I fall again I’m calling you instead of the firemen! Our families go way back and my Dad and mom had a genuine love for each of them. Kelly your Dad will hold a special place in our hearts for his love and kindness. My mom had a lamp in our living room he had sent by Julie Beth, and Joe gave Benjamin a tiny play knife when he was 3 years old. They both still have them and I’m not sure where the lamp would be? I could continue to tell you many stories about all of them but most important I will tell you when my mom and dad were so sick they would call every few days to check on them which meant the world to us. You come from good stock ( is the old saying) and will have big shoes to fill. Your family was so very proud of you, just know prayers are flowing your way. Joe was a life well lived, he loved people and people loved him. God bless you and keep you in his care. Please let us know if we can do anything to support you. God bless.
