He was a dedicated employee at Lamar Advertising for 53 years where he held many roles and retired as the Safety Manager in 2019. A lover of the outdoors, he found peace and joy in hunting, always embracing nature with gratitude. He also had a deep passion for old cars, taking pleasure in their history and craftsmanship. A true artist at heart, he enjoyed drawing, painting and woodworking. His hands were always busy building and creating. His devotion to family was unmatched, and he always made it a priority to show up for us in every way possible to offer his unending support. His gentle nature and unwavering love made him the foundation of our family, and we always knew he would be there, cheering us on, with a smile, a witty comment, and a heart full of pride. Though a man of few words, Wilburn’s love spoke volumes, and his quiet presence brought immense warmth to our lives. His actions were his language, and through his quiet encouragement, kindness, and presence, he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
