Obituary of Benny Brugh McCloud

Benny “Ben” Brugh McCloud Jr., age 72 of Murfreesboro, TN went home to the Lord on Thursday, December 10. 2020. He was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Wartrace, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents; Benny Sr and Evelyn Grant McCloud, daughter; Alison McCloud, and a brother; Jerry McCloud. Ben is survived by his wife; Janice Arnold McCloud, daughter; Erin (Josh) Drummond of Nashville, step-son; Eric (Allison) Beachboard of Manchester, granddaughter; Abigail Grace Drummond of Nashville, step-grandsons; Jack Beachboard, Luke Beachboard both of Manchester, step-granddaughter; Ansley Beachboard of Manchester, sister; Jo Etta Bonert, brothers; Dale (Cricket) McCloud, Kelly (Amy) McCloud, Mike (Susan) McCloud, and Pat (Diana) McCloud. Ben was an avid golfer and loved travel, and leisure flying. He loved life, loved cooking, the children and grandchildren. He was a people person and a had a great sense of humor. He was a former board member of United Way of Rutherford County, Board member of Murfreesboro Symphony, Board member of Books from Birth. He worked at Olin Corporation in Sales and Marketing and DSM Chemicals in Management. The family would like to thank the nurses and caretakers at Harmony at Victory Station for their love and care. Donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter , Mt. Olivet United Methodist in Wartrace, TN, or Tabernacle Cemetery in Columbia, Ky. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
