Raymond Edward Brooks was born October 17, 1950 in Marion, Indiana and passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his residence in Murfreesboro at the age of 65. Mr. Brooks was the son of James Edward and Margaret Purvis Brooks. He was a Senior Operations Manager at Averitt Express, and attended New Vision Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ralph Brooks and Cecil Corey; two sisters, Margie Pittman and Gladys Cain. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mary Brooks of Murfreesboro, two sons, Todd (Kimberly) Brooks of Murfreesboro and Toby Brooks of Smyrna, five daughters, Kim (Lon) Wisehart of Arkansas, Shelley (Ted) Willis of Rockvale, Carrie Brooks, Tia Green and Jamie Pope all of Smyrna, three sisters, Pauline Ott of Marion, IN, Mary (Steve) Martz of Arizona, Eunice (Randy) Janne of Kentucky and one brother-in-law Kenny Pittman of Murfreesboro. 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren also survive. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 11 am to 3 pm in the Chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the J.
