Harold E. Burgess, Sr., age 60, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in. Mr. Burgess was born June 23, 1954 in Gallatin,TN to the late Richard and Nettie Day Burgess. Harold was also preceded in death by Charles Burgess, Richard Burgess, Jr. and Jerry Lee Burgess. Survivors include daughter, Frances M. (Billy) Knox of Murfreesboro, son, Justin (Angel) Barnes of Murfreesboro, sisters, Shirley Ann Gray, Judy (Steve) Fields, Betty (Morris) Moss, Sylvia L. Burgett, brother Ronnie Burgess of Hendersonville, Grandchildren, O'leshia Knox, Billy Jr., Miracle, Isaiah and Jeremiah Knox all of Murfreesboro, Angela of McMinnville, Chelsea, Bryson and Abigail Barnes of Murfreesboro. Devoted friends, Tommy and Elizabeth Keel, Sandra Brooks, Billy Tidwell and Aaron Puckett. A host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Family wants to say thank you to the staff of St. Thomas Rutherford for the care Mr. Burgess received. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm with the funeral beginning at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
