Lorraine Taylor was born September 30, 1935 in Olcott, West Virginia and she passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Community Care of Rutherford County at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Searl Elwood Asbury and Atry Marie Laney Asbury. She was a member of the World Outreach Church and a retired music store owner. Survivors include four daughters, Cynthia Ann Martin of Lexington, KY, Joan E. Lanier of Murfreesboro, TN, Toni Whisnant of Gastonia, NC, Angie McGowan of Wadesboro, NC, three sisters, Judith Allen of Florida, Frances Pruitt Of Ohio and Aretta Evans of West Virginia, 2 brothers James Asbury and Donald Asbury both of Florida. 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren also survive. Private family services will be held in North Carolina at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Blood Water Missions http://www.bloodwater.org/
