Bill Lampe, age 57, of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Saint Thomas Hospital. Born in Selma, Alabama, he was a former bus driver for the Rutherford County school systems and was also a member of the Cannonsburg Lion's Club. He worked as a tire sales man and was of the Baptist faith. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Underwood, sister Jo Ann Lampe and nephew Richard Lampe. Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Lampe of Smyrna; father; William Underwood of West Virginia, son; Jimmy Lampe of Smyrna, daughter; Cindy (Chris) Smith of Rockvale, two brothers; Craig Lampe of Phoenix, AZ and James Lampe of Indianapolis, IN, one sister; Pat Lampe of Murfreesboro, and one grandchild, Brodie Smith of Rockvale. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 10:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bobby Baltimore officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
