Obituary of Mack Alton Douglas

Mack Alton Douglas, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017.

Mr. Douglas was a native of Rutherford County, TN

He was the son of the late Leonard Sr. and Lydia Robinson Douglas.

He is preceded in death by his wife Hazel (Smythia) Douglas and brothers James, Richard, Melvin, Willie (Doris) Douglas; sisters Mary Ellen “Tootie” Smotherman, Clara Bell Smotherman, Betty Batey and Linda Travis.

Mr. Douglas is survived by a daughter Maxine Douglas, brother Leonard Jr. (Kathleen) Douglas, Bobby (Louise) Douglas, Chester Douglas; sister Joan (Calvin) Faulk and Frieda Haney.

Mr. Douglas was a 1962 graduate of Christiana High School and was an Army Veteran and retired from factory work.

Graveside service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Whitworth Cemetery in Link Community, with Bro. Roy Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be sent too Joan Faulk or Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Contributions given by Sharon and Michael Batey were given in Honor of mother Betty Batey.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Community Care in Murfreesboro for all the wonderful care that was given to Mack. We will forever be grateful.
