Obituary of Jason Benton
Jason Douglas Benton, age 34, passed away April 2, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from Cystic Fibrosis. He was a 2001 graduate of Smyrna High School.
Jason was an avid sports fan. From the Titans to NASCAR with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. all the way to the WWE.
He cherished his closest friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Jerry Greer; cousin, Timmy Greer; Uncle, Terry Lee Plisch Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Teresa Benton; father, James Benton; grandmothers, Joyce Greer & Daisye Plisch; sister, Maleigha (Steven) Dalton; cousin, Kayla & Maddie Greer; niece, Bella Dalton; and nephew, Neyland Dalton.
Pall Bearers will be Bryce Greer, Steven Dalton, B.J. Burns, Will Gant, Josh Crouch, and John James.
He will be greatly missed by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank Vanderbilt University Medical Center Cystic Fibrosis Clinic and their staff for taking such wonderful care of Jason for 34 years.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 4-8pm, and Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 11am – 1pm, followed by the funeral service at 1pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Herb Alsup and Dan Seeley officiating.
