Dean DeWayne Fritz, 77, Murfreesboro, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 9, 1939 in Marshall, Michigan to Harold and Lenora (Nott) Fritz.
Dean worked for 38 years for Dana Corporation in Columbia City, IN and then Brentwood, TN. He was a devoted shepherd and sheared sheep from 1957 – 2011. He shared his love of sheep and shearing in state and county fairs and demonstrations across Indiana and Tennessee. Dean attended Family Worship Center of Murfreesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Doug (Deb), Columbia City, IN; son, Daryl (Melinda), Smyrna, TN; daughter, Deonda (Mike) Jones, North Manchester, IN; and son, Donovan, Columbia, TN; twelve grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four step-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Sue Fritz, Fort Wayne, IN.
There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 2nd at Family Worship Center, 3045 Memorial Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN.
There will not be any visitation at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
