Charles Gilbert Holden, age 79, passed away December 3, 2016. He attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Rockvale, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie Douglas Holden and Sammie Lee Holden.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Holden; Sons: Troy (Amy) Holden and Todd (Stephanie) Holden; Grandchildren: Jennifer, Chris, Josh, Alyssa and Courtney; Great grandchildren: Bayleigh and Dillon, Sisters: Polly Scruggs of Murfreesboro, TN and Christine Boyce of El Paso, TX.
He was in the Tennessee National Guard from 1955 to 1964. He worked for the Garment Supply Industry for 35 years, owning his own business for 15 years. He then had a 23 year career in Real Estate working until his illness. He was a devout family man who enjoyed every day God had given.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Cancer Research or Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and American Heart Association in his memory.
